Tank farm

The plant's tank farm consists of above-ground and underground tanks for the storage of virgin and recovered solvents that have previously undergone purification operations by distillation.

Nitrogen production & distribution

  • 2 production units with a total capacity of 700 Nmc/h with N2 NLT 98,5 %
  • 1 cryogenic storage tank of 60 m3 for pharma grade N2
  • High pressure distribution network (14 bar) and multiple reduced pressure user points in all departments

Compressed air production & distribution

  • 2 production units each of 90 kW installed power, equipped with resin dryer (dew point - 40°C), storage tank and reduction groups
  • 6 bar distribution network

Chilled water production & distribution

  • 2 ammonia compressor with a cooling capacity each of 500 kWf (minimum service temperature – 18°C)
  • 2 freon compressor with a cooling capacity each of 400 kWf (minimum service temperature 0°C)

Steam generation & distribution

  • 2 thermal oil heater (Bono) each equipped with steam generator of 10 ton/h capacity
  • 1 thermal oil heater of 800.000 kcal/h capacity dedicated to supply hot heating fluid (280°C) to carboxylation reactors
  • 1 HSRG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) of 3.3 MWt associated with thermal incinerator
  • LP (7 bar) distribution network and condensate recovery

PW & HPW production & distribution

  • Raw water chemical conditioning and sand filtration (dual media)
  • Reverse osmosis plant of 25 mc/h capacity for steam generator feeding (10 tons/h) and HPW production (15 tons/h)
  • Distribution loops dedicated to production departments

Incinerator plant

Combustion capacity of 8.000 Nmc/h off gas and mother liquor collected from plant

Wastewater treatment plant

  • Physical chemical wastewater pre-treatment section
  • Biological treatment (Trickling Filter & Activated Sludge)
  • Total removal capacity of 6.000 kg/day COD
