The presence of impurities can negatively affects the regularity of the highly-ordered multimolecular structures (i.e. vesicles, liposomes etc.) that the lipids form.
For this reason, the good performance of the formulations is favored by the high purity of the lipidic components. In this context, Chemi’s quality of L-α-GPC can play an important role.
Chemi’s GPC from natural origin has an optimal chiral purity, while commercially available GPC obtained through fully synthetic origin can contain quite high levels (up to 1.6%) of the opposite enantiomer.
